The celebration of our ‘Beloved Founder’s Day’ on 24 June 2026 was another opportune moment to relive, relish and cherish not only the memory of our Founder Venerable Peter Joseph Triest but also a time to read, reflect, pray and try to emulate his splendid array of virtues especially his charity, care, compassion, kindness, selfless service, daring faith, total dedication, deep commitment, unmatched availability and self-emptying.

In preparation for the actual day, every community participated wholeheartedly in the nine days of Novena and the three days of Triduum. A well-prepared and meaningful prayer service was organized in each community on the actual day which highlighted Ven. Triest’s life, mission and the legacy he has left behind, for his spiritual daughters to imbibe. Power Point Presentations based on his life, particularly his last days and what others had to say about him (Bishop Van Bommel of Liege, Fr. De. Decker, Sr. Perpetua, the first secretary of the congregation) were inspiring, renewing and rejuvenating for us to live our Charism with much more enthusiasm, vigor and zeal.

Glimpses of the celebration can be visualized through a few photographs. Prem Ashram (Abode of Love), Una, true to the name they uphold and true to the spirit of compassion of our founder for the people most neglected, invited the children from the nearby slum, and Sisters spent quality time with them, organized games for them and had a good meal for all.

There were other communities which had similar activities too. The formation community chose, the Founder’s Day, the most appropriate and fitting occasion to formally welcome the nine new candidates into our midst.

We continue to pray that his heroic virtues may inspire many more to follow Christ closely and his beatification and canonization process may take place soon.
