Aglow with the love of Christ and resolved to “Go and Do Likewise” (Luke 10: 37) with the attitude of the Good Samaritan, our three novices: Anna Vuong Hoang, Maria Bich Oanh Tran and Maria Trang Phan made their First Profession on 8th June 2024. Joyous looks, warm hearts and hospitable hands summarized the mood of that great day at Thanh Linh (Holy Spirit) Parish, Ho Chi Minh City, where this event was held.
The Holy Mass was presided over by Rev. Father Joseph Pham Tuan Nghia, S.J., the Provincial of the Jesuits in Vietnam and con-celebrated by ten other priests at 09.00 A.M.
The Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary from all the communities were present, together with the Brothers of Charity, sisters from other congregations, relatives, friends, well-wishers and a good number of benefactors. The whole ceremony was solemn, touching and meaningful.
In his homily, Fr. Joseph Nghia, S.J., exhorted the newly professed to remain focused on the person of Christ to whom they are surrendering their entire lives - their past, their present, and their future.
The Eucharistic celebration was followed by a sumptuous lunch for all in the hall below the church. The memories of this day will linger on for a long time to come.
We extend our hearty congratulations to our newly professed sisters. May the Lord continue to be with them and pour out His grace on them, so that they may live their commitment with joy, generosity and fidelity.
