The call to holiness takes root in the Baptismal Consecration and requires us to follow Jesus Christ. This call to follow Christ without compromise is rooted in the scriptures and directed to all Christians.
Who is an Associate Member of the Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary?
Associates are lay people who affiliate with the religious congregation; go through an official formation period during which they will be introduced to a deeper following of Christ, the vocation and call to holiness of lay people in the church; they will learn about the congregation’s charism and mission and promise to commit themselves to living out the spirituality of the Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary in their personal or public life.
It is an invitation and free gift from God and evokes in turn a free response. It is heard in the midst of daily events of life. The person, who feels drawn to the gospel path proposed by our founder Peter Joseph Triest, asks to be admitted as a lay associate of the Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary.
